Ariel G

Ariel was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Her father was on the local mountain rescue team and taught her to love and respect the outdoors at a young age. Ariel attended Boston University where she was a Deaf Studies major. After college, she participated in two AmeriCorps programs; City Year in Philadelphia, and Teach for America in Arkansas.

After finishing two years teaching 7th grade math, Ariel took the opportunity to get back outside by taking a NOLS course, including backpacking, rock climbing, caving, and white-water canoeing. After finishing the NOLS course, Ariel decide to combine her passion for working with young people an being outside which brought her to Elements.

When she is not working, Ariel enjoys hiking, rock climbing, listening to podcasts and saying “yes” to as many adventures as possible.
