Dalton S

Instructor

Dalton was born in the heart of rural southern Florida. He spent his early childhood on his family’s dairy farm with most of his days spent outside always either on the coast exploring the tangled mangrove waterways on the Indian River or deep in the swampy forests taking in all that Florida had to offer.

After school he moved out west to SoCal to teach outdoor education and fell in love with the mountains and the wilderness they contain. He continued this path following the call of the mountains north to Alaska to guide sea kayaking expeditions throughout the Prince William Sound. Through his experiences with students, clients, and himself on personal trips, he witnessed the transformative and calming power of the wilderness.

After hearing about the positive impact of wilderness therapy from coworkers and friends, Dalton left the great north to come to the desert of Utah to share his passion for the wild with those in need.

On his days off you can find Dalton climbing, rappelling, hiking, slacklining, running, and exploring the beautiful and barren deserts of the southwest.
