Elias B

Elias was raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. He attended college and developed a passion for the natural world in the Ozark foothills of Northern Arkansas. At Lyon College, he studied English and philosophy, and participated in the Lyon College adventure program. Having developed a deep sense of belonging in the natural world, Elias began spending his summers pursing a career in the outdoors, interning with conservation programs in Arizona and Colorado. During the second semester of his junior year, Elias enrolled in NOLS to further his professional development in the outdoor field.

When college came to an end, Elias began to search for a job opportunity melding his interests in the outdoors and the study of humanities, ultimately leading him to wilderness therapy. Outside of work, Elias enjoys rafting, snowboarding, backpacking, writing and playing music. Elias plans to continue his education by pursuing a master’s degree in English as well as training to be a NOLS instructor.
