Lowell graduated from Brigham Young University in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine.  During his time at BYU he spent considerable time with various High School’s around the area as a trainer for their football, wrestling, soccer, and basketball programs as well as working at the collegiate level in football and men’s volleyball.  After his BYU career, he spent some time with the Dallas Cowboys as an athletic trainer.  Lowell furthered his Education as a Physician Assistant.  He graduated from A.T. Still University in Arizona, a division of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Lowell has been fortunate to work in a variety of settings before settling down in a rural family practice / urgent care clinic where he sees patients in all its variety for the past 14 years.  Lowell has been fortunate to work in the area he was raised as a child.  He has grown to love the high aspen valleys of the Manti-La Sal mountains and the colorful plateaus of the San Rafael Desert.  During his time as a Physician Assistant, he has worked and volunteered in a variety of settings:  Orangeville Fire Department for 10 years, Senior Medical officer for Emery County Search and Rescue, and high angle rescue rope team.  He has spent 13 years in correctional medicine, managing and treating high risk individuals with severe drug and alcohol addictions and various psychological disorders.  Lowell is a member of the Emery County drug court committee, and member of Emery County drug task force.  He is the medical adviser for Emery County Sheriff’s Office and has assisted in wilderness training with the Utah National Guard.

Lowell has a great love for the outdoors and spending that time with his wife and five children.  He loves to ride his horses and explore the back country of the mountains and the desert.  He has been in scouting and has enjoyed taking young men in the wilderness to experience his love of fishing, hiking rappelling and mountain climbing.  Above all else he loves his God, family, and his career which has given him the opportunity to serve in many areas that he is passionate about.
