Steve P

Assistant Group Lead

Steve grew up in Northern Virginia and Atlanta, graduating from Covenant College in Chattanooga, Tennessee. There he studied Psychology and spend two years working at Parkridge Valley Hospital in the RTC department working with youth in the State’s custody. While there Steve learned his love for working with youth and helping them develop healthy skills to cope with the challenges of life.

With his passion for the outdoors Steve started looking for opportunities to combine his two loves, and discovered the field of Wilderness Therapy. Having high standards for client safety from his time spent at the hospital, Steve finally landed on Elements Wilderness Program and started working in October of 2016. He finds wilderness to be the perfect setting to remove oneself from the rush of daily living and get to the basics of introspection.

When Steve is not in the field, he enjoys hiking, bouldering, dirt biking, and games. In the futures Steve hopes to continue working in Wilderness and teaching youth.
