Josh grew up in sunny South Florida, where he could be found snorkeling off-shore or playing volleyball on the beach.
After attending Liberty University in Virginia and receiving a degree in Social Sciences and Education, he began teaching 8th grade World History. During his time, he fell deeply in love with the mountains and took to hiking, backpacking, and climbing in the Appalachians with any spare moment he could find.
Josh took a hiatus from teaching to travel, and at this time discovered the joys of outdoor and experiential education – the perfect synthesis of education and outdoor experiences- which eventually brought him to Elements Wilderness Program.
These days you’ll find Josh on the side of a cliff, speeding his bike across slickrock descents, or deep in the crevices of the canyonlands throughout Utah’s deserts.
