Dakota N

Dakota was born into a military family in Maryland. He grew up on a horse farm in northern Virginia, spending much of his time outdoors. His family moved to Texas, and he was heavily involved in sports until he graduated high school. Instead of pursuing college sports, he enrolled in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M and enlisted in the National Guard. While completing a bachelors in English, he also earned a commission as an officer in the US Army. After several years of serving as an infantry officer in the army and national guard he began to pursue other careers. Dakota has worked in many fields including a rare books library, city water department, and most recently as a program manager for a pharmaceutical company.

While having many great experiences, he found that he still felt unfulfilled with how he was spending his time. Wilderness therapy offered Dakota a great opportunity to find meaningful work giving back to others while enjoying the beauty of the Utah outdoors. He believes he has learned lessons and tools here that will stick with him for life.
