David was born in a small community at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina, learning to swim in the South Toe river. Growing up outside set David up for a lifetime of loving the outdoors. At a young age, David moved to Israel where he grew up and lived most of his adult life. There, he also fell in love with the desert. After his last traveling session in Russia, David decided to fulfill some lifelong dreams and returned to the United States to get a pilot’s license, do improv, and work in the wilderness with students who also become teachers. When not in the field, David enjoys flying, dirt biking, napping, Winnie The Pooh, and avocados.
