Jordan A

Jordan grew up in Massachusetts and fondly remembers hiking and exploring the coast with her family in New Hampshire and Maine. She furthered her love for the outdoors in high school while attending the High Mountain Institute in Leadville, CO where she took place-based courses, backpacked, and backcountry skied. During her semester at HMI, she learned about the power that the outdoors can have and found herself wanting to get outside more and more.

After falling in love with Colorado, she went to Colorado College where she studied psychology and worked in the Outdoor Education Program. At CC she worked in the Gear House repairing gear, led trips, danced in Dance Workshop, and taught knitting. Upon graduating, she started pursuing jobs in the outdoor industry as well as ones that she could use her background in psychology. After finding out about wilderness therapy, she thought that it would be a perfect combination of her two interests. She also believes that the outdoors creates a great environment for challenge and learning opportunities. Jordan landed at Elements because of its emphasis on therapeutics as well as the location of the field areas.

Outside of work Jordan can be found cooking something delicious, running, knitting, hanging out with her cat, Stevie, hiking, or re-learning how to ski!
