Marissa grew up in a small town located in the Adirondack Mountains of Northern New York. She spent a lot of time outdoors running, backpacking, and canoeing. She pursued a higher education in Northern Maine, where she obtained a Bachelor’s in Psychology and minors in Art and Business. Marissa has been working with children and youth since 2013 in various inpatient and outpatient programs, as well as summer camps on the east coast.
Marissa came to Elements because she found value and inspiration in the wilderness. She also loves learning from the students and experiencing life with them while at Elements.
When Marissa is out of the field, you can find her running, climbing, skiing, swimming, or paddling with her dog Aspen.
