Zach grew up in the mountains of Virginia finding the tallest water towers to jump off in the summer and developing a love for icy skiing in the winter. In high school, he marched in the marching band and loved playing hockey and lacrosse. After high school, Zach attended Colorado College where he received a degree in Economics and Environmental Policy.
During college, Zach had many opportunities to continue fostering his love for the outdoors including thru hiking the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine in 2019, and developing a love for backcountry skiing and mountain biking.
After college, he worked a desk job at an environmental organization in Colorado. Zach quickly realized he needed to work outside with people and quit his 9 to 5.
Zach appreciates the way working at Elements combines his love for the outdoors and creating caring environments that encourage but doesn’t force personal growth.
In his free time Zach loves skiing, biking, sitting in hot springs, making pottery, and cooking spicy food.
