Hannah BHannah B

Hannah was raised in Glenmoore, PA on a small farm with her two brothers. She spent her childhood playing in the woods behind her house, taking care of her many pets, and riding her horses through the county park next to her house. Hannah’s first experience with outdoor adventure was with three Outward Bound courses she took when she was 14, 15, and 16 years old. These trips sparked her love for adventure, and she spent the rest of her adolescent years backpacking as much as possible with her dad and brothers.

She attended her first two years of college at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va. She realized at the end of those two years that she had begun to lose her way and decided that she had to return to nature. So, she enrolled in a semester NOLS course and spent the fall of her junior year mountaineering, rock climbing, costal backpacking, and sailing. This semester showed her the power one can find in themselves through nature, and rekindled her passion for the outdoors. Hannah finished her college degree at the University of Vermont studying Sustainable Food Systems.

Hannah believes that all people should return to nature at some point in their lives, and that the wilderness is a place to facilitate personal growth and power. Hannah began working at Elements with the hope to guide adolescents to their own inner strength and help them become who they want to be. In the process, she learns about herself everyday and continues to allow the wild to fill her heart with joy.
