Elise L

Elise is from the White Mountains of New Hampshire and now living in Heber City, Utah. She has been adventuring her whole life, and developed a love for backpacking, climbing, white water kayaking, snowboarding, and yoga over her years in New Hampshire. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelors in Outdoor Education, and also studied Human Development and Family Studies. During her time at UNH, she lead backpacking and climbing trips, and also taught climbing for the local middle school. She is a certified Wilderness First Responder and have found a passion for backcountry medicine. She moved to Utah so she could continue following her outdoor pursuits, just on mountains that are bigger than what can be found on the East Coast! On her off shifts, she’ll be found traveling all over Utah, looking for hidden gems of the state.

She looks toward nature and adventure experiences in her own difficult times, and because of this, she wholeheartedly believes that wilderness therapy programs can change lives in a meaningful, substantial, and sustainable way.
