Sydney was born and raised in New England, spending much of her time in the small state of Rhode Island. Throughout her lifetime, she has found pleasure and purpose through exploring all the natural world has to offer. Her fondest memories include woodland adventures and spending time by the ocean.
She attended college at the University of New Hampshire where she studied occupational therapy and found a love for outdoor education. She became passionate about the many connections between the two areas of study and dreamt of one day combining the philosophy and methods used in outdoor education with the holistic and person-centered services offered by occupation therapy. So, when a friend suggested she move out to Utah and work for Elements, she did not hesitate.
On her off shifts you can find Sydney surrounded by dogs, exploring her new home, missing the ocean, and falling in love with the desert.
